See the Christmas Story come to life! You and your family are invited to drive through this FREE outdoor Living Nativity parking lot event. You’ll be transported back in time to that star-lit night long ago when Jesus was born.
Stay in your warm car and meander through five magical scenes with costumed actors, live animals, and Christmas carolers. At the end of your journey, receive prepackaged Christmas cookies, Christmas Eve candles, and a keepsake ornament.
This event is FREE, but please reserve a ticket (1 per vehicle) and a specific drive-thru time to ensure a safe environment.
Messiah Church is located at 17805 County Road 6, in Plymouth 55447. We ask all Living Nativity guests to enter the parking lot from the south entrance, via 14th Avenue off of County Road 101. After the last stop, vehicles will exit at the north end of the parking lot and onto County Road 6. (Parking lot attendants will help guide you.)
While we are limiting vehicle tickets per hour and will be working hard to move guests through the Living Nativity event efficiently, please plan for a line.
During our Outdoor Drive-Thru Living Nativity we will be collecting non-perishable food items for the Interfaith Outreach and ICA food shelves. Please bring any donations in paper bags or boxes so they can be safely collected. Monetary donations are also welcome and checks should be made out to Messiah Church (indicate “Food Shelf” in the memo). Any donation is appreciated, although not required.
Based on current health and safety guidelines, please note the following policies in place for our Outdoor Drive-Thru Living Nativity:
- One ticket is required for each vehicle. Please limit vehicle occupants to the number of available seatbelts. We will ask for an approximate headcount at checkout.
- Please print your ticket and present to the parking lot attendants.
- In order to maintain traffic flow, please arrive within your selected ticket window.
- All vehicles will follow a one-way route through our parking lot. Please enter off of 14th Avenue.
- All attendees must enjoy the Living Nativity from inside their vehicles. You’ll need to roll down your windows for the best audio quality (dress accordingly).
- We encourage those in your vehicle who will be interacting with our staff and volunteers to wear face masks. All Messiah staff and volunteers will be following appropriate safety protocol.
- As always, please no smoking or alcohol on the church grounds.
- The church restrooms will NOT be available. Please plan accordingly.
- If you are feeling sick, please refrain from attending.
While this event is FREE, tickets are limited to ensure a safe environment. If you reserve a ticket and find you are no longer able to attend, please contact Carolyn Loeffler at [email protected] so that we may make this space available for another family or group.
Should the weather be unseasonably cold or wet, any changes to the Outdoor Living Nativity will be posted on the event website by noon on Friday, December 11.
